Lexington County, SC–  Lexington County deputies have arrested a woman they say left a 2-year-old boy at home alone.

Officers have charged Tabitha Shea Jones, 21, on charges of unlawful neglect of a child by a legal custodian and possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it.

On Tuesday, officers went to a home in Gaston to serve a warrant on a woman wanted for driving with a suspended license. When they got to the door, officers say they smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

Deputies began searching the home to find the woman, but did not find her. However, officers found a bedroom door that was locked from the outside. Inside, officers say they found a 2-year-old boy wearing only a dirty diaper. Deputies say they found a bowl of cereal on the floor. Continue reading →
