(Sports) Will the Miami Heat Be Able to Keep LeBron, Wade & Bosh? Pat Riley Has a Answer

BIG 3

The lingering questions about the Heat’s future have been focused far beyond this season. In particular, whether Riley can keep this team together when the luxury tax penalties become much stiffer starting in 2013-14.

“It’s doable in this tax economy, but I’ll leave that up to [Heat owner] Micky [Arison],” Riley said with a laugh. “That will all be tackled after the season, but it is doable.”

In other words, the ball is in Arison’s hands. Just like the Heat president planned ahead years in advance of the summer of 2010, Riley said he has already had internal conversations with Heat brass about how to financially keep the star-studded core intact when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh can all opt out of their contracts after the 2013-14 season.

“I don’t believe that we have to sell anybody on us anymore in 2014,” Riley said. “It’s all about winning now and when that time comes, we’ll deal with it.”

But the financial burden will begin starting in 2013-14 when taxpaying teams will have to pay $1.50 for every dollar they’re over the luxury tax line. And it gets considerably more punitive in 2014-15 when the repeater penalties hit and the tax rate increases the deeper a team is into the tax. Additionally, taxpaying teams will have more stringent roster management restrictions, including the inability to acquire players via sign-and-trades.

“It’s going to take that kind of revenue and those kinds of opportunities to be able to [keep the core together],” Riley said. “It is doable, but it’s a question of the economics of the game. There’s going to have to be some strategic planning not only from [the business] standpoint, but also personnel-wise over the next couple of years to deal with [the potential tax penalties].”

Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!, this was crazy! It got the entire crowd out of their seats! Check out what might be the best play of the year as Jamal Crawford goes through his legs in mid-air & then tosses the alley-oop pass to Blake Griffin who finishes off the fastbreak with a windmill slam dunk!
LeBron was so impressed that he tweeted about it.

(Kicks) Custom Lebron X “IronMan”

I know I have been posting a lot about the Lebron X, but can you blame me. There have been some sick colorways of this shoe.

nike-lebron-x-ironman-3-customs-by-mache-for-lebron-james-03-570x427Now even though these customs will never hit stores, THESE ARE PURE HEAT!!!!!! I don’t even know what to say about these. How does one have the patients to create such a masterpiece on a sneaker. I am SPEECHLESS.

And the box itself is the Real Deal. OMG!!!! Lebron is one lucky dude

Let me here your opinions on these

(Kicks) Lebron James X “Carmex”

LeBron James’ love for the Fruity Pebbles cereal has transformed itself into a pair of LeBron IVs before, resulting in one of the most hunted LeBron sneakers in history. The Miami Heat star just gave another product his co-sign, but instead of a fruity breakfast cereal, he’s directing his props with the quote “Yellow means caution” to Carmex, a brand known for their effective lip balms. This Nike LeBron X ‘Carmex’ features a tonal yellow upper with red and black trimmings around the shoe that matches the product’s casing, although it’s not known if these are a true collaboration, an upcoming release, or just another variation of a Miami Heat colorway that just so happens to fit the Carmex bill. Peep the full shot below and we’ll throw you some updates when they develop.

(Kicks) Sneakerheads It’s Not That Serious

It’s not that serious. Please get your priorities together people. A person’s life is worth WAY more than $160. Yea I would be mad just like the next person, if I waited in line and didn’t get the shoes, but c’mon man!!!! Let these kids live and enjoy their childhood. Let the kids be fresh. JUST GIVE THE KIDS A CHANCE

(Kicks)Releases From The Weekend

Just a look back at the kicks that dropped this past weekend. What did y’all cop?? What did y’all pass on???

Cork

Lebron X “Cork”

If you were able to get your hands on these bad boys, I salute you. From what I heard people started having mixed feelings about these when they found out the quality wasn’t worth the price. But still, these have got to be in the top 5 Lebrons to ever come out.

III

Air Jordan III “Bright Crimson”

To be real, I haven’t heard too much about these III’s. My homeboy said these are the toughest III’s that dropped. I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH HIM!!!! It’s just some shoes you have to see in person to really judge whether or not you like them; and these are definitely one of them.

KDTexas

KD V “Texas”

This is a nice looking colorway. The only thing with these are they look to much like a basketball shoe. I don’t see how people change these into casual shoes. But if I knew how to rock these, these would be an easy cop. Most likely these are still i the stores for retail.

Kobe

Kobe VIII “Duke/Blue Glow”

These are just a regular pair of Kobes. Nothing spectacular about these at all. I wouldn’t wait in line for these. If I really wanted these, I would wait until Eastbay or Footlocker put on them on sale. The colorway is not worth $140. I rather buy 2 pair of Air Force 1′s

VoltLebron X “Volt Dunkman”

Nothing more I can say about these. Check my previous post about these. All I can say is FIRE!!!!!!

(Kicks) Kicks That I’ve Had, Air Jordan XVI

This is something new I will start doing everyday. Pretty much I will be talkin about kicks that I’ve had in my life. I wont’t go through all of them but just some of my favorites……

To start off I’m going to start with the shoes that started it all for me….. Air Jordan XVI White/ Navy Blue.XVI Navy

These came out in 2001, I was probably 10 or 11. I don’t know why I like them so much, but I did. My cousins had them when they came out and used to always wear them because I didn’t have them.

I just so happened to get my hands on a pair of these kicks recently!!!! When I saw the condition and the price, I just had to get them. They may not be on everybody’s list as their favorites, but these mean something to me!!!!!!
