Mannie Fresh addressed Birdman’s comment that Drake & Lil Wayne would be involved in the new Big Tymers album in his place, explaining that while he respected the Cash Money artists, they are not the Big Tymers.
On last week’s edition of Rap Fix Live, Birdman controversially revealed that while there would be a new Big Tymers album, it would not involve founding member Mannie Fresh. Even more controversially, Baby hinted that Lil Wayne and Drake may take Mannie’s place in the former duo.
Last week, Birdman revealed plans of a new Big Tymers album with Lil Wayne and Drake instead of Mannie Fresh. On this week’s episode of RapFix, Mannie called into the show to give his thoughts on the project. He also speaks on his fall out with Birdman and Cash Money.
“It’s kinda like doing a Jackson 5 album with Boyz II Men. Two different eras, great artists, but Boyz II Men is not the Jackson 5. I don’t bash Cash Money, Birdman, or none of them. It’s really on, I’m just striving on just getting what I deserve, you know, what I put in. Honestly I think Drake is a great artist, I think Wayne is a great artist, but they not the Big Tymers. You can call it whatever you want to call it, but you can’t call it a Big Tymers album.”
Lil Wayne and Birdman made a special appearance on MTV’s RapFix Live earlier today. During the interview, they revealed that they have plans for a new Big Tymers project, except Mannie Fresh won’t be a part of it, and they’ll be including Drake.
Just as promised, here is the official visual for the Rich Gang single ‘Tapout’ featuring Lil Wayne, Birdman, Future, Mack Maine and Nicki Minaj. Directed by Hannah Lux Davis. The video contains cameos from Bow Wow, DJ Khaled, Paris Hilton, Christina Milian and more.
Lil Wayne’s Emmett Till line on ‘Karate Chop (Remix)’ caused alot of controversy and upset Emmett’s family. They were not pleased with the line and they recently started a new campaign to get Mountain Dew to drop Weezy. Today, Lil Wayne follows in Rick Ross’ footsteps and issues a formal apology for the lyric.
Lil Wayne says:
Dear Till Family:
As a recording artist, I have always been interested in word play. My lyrics often reference people, places and events in my music, as well as the music that I create for or alongside other artists.
It has come to my attention that lyrics from my contribution to a fellow artist’s song has deeply offended your family. As a father myself, I cannot imagine the pain that your family has had to endure. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your hurt, as well as the letter you sent to me via your attorneys.
Moving forward, I will not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in my music, especially in an inappropriate manner. I fully support Epic Record’s decision to take down the unauthorized version of the song and to not include the reference in the version that went to retail. I will not be performing the lyrics that contain that reference live and have removed them from my catalogue.
I have tremendous respect for those who paved the way for the liberty and opportunities that African-Americans currently enjoy. As a business owner who employs several African-American employees and gives philanthropically to organizations that help youth to pursue their dreams my ultimate intention is to uplift rather than degrade our community.

Welp, here it is! Today we finally get the anticipated new single from Khaled “No New Friends” that he built so much hype up around all weekend. I didn’t know Weezy appeared on it, but here it is. Drake did mention that this started out as the remix to ‘Started From The Bottom’ but was then given to DJ Khaled.
Here is an unreleased record from Lil Wayne featuring MMG’s Meek Mill titled ‘Im Good’. This was initially supposed to appear on his ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’ album but didn’t make the final cut.
Weezy’s latest album definitely didn’t do as well as his previous release, but I’m sure we all knew that. He still didn’t do too bad though, pulling in 217k sales first week and hitting #2 on the charts. JT’s “The 20/20 Experience” is still holding on to the #1 spot, and has already surpassed platinum status.
Lil Wayne decides to put out this video to update everyone on his health and show that he is doing much better. He is also joined by the Hustle Gang head honcho T.I. and they announce that they will be heading out on tour together called ‘Americas Most Wanted’. It will be kicking off on July 5th and will feature more artists. Expect an official announcement with all the dates soon. ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’ album in stores March 26th.
