A man troopers say was drunk in 2011 when he hit a car carrying three children and their grandparents, resulting in the death of two of the kids, has been charged with DUI again.

Robert Darren Craft, 39, of Pelion, faces charges of DUI second offense after an early morning arrest in a convenience store parking lot Friday.

According to a Springdale Police Department incident report, an officer heard the sound of tires squealing in the Circle K parking lot on Airport Blvd. around 2 a.m.

(News) No One Is Safe: Cars In Lexington SC Church Parking Lot Broken Into

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is trying to figure out who’s responsible for breaking into two vehicles in the parking lot of a church.

The report said on Oct. 14 officers responded to the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church located at 4621 Highway 321 in reference to a larceny.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the 60-year-old victim who advised officers that she had been in church since 10 a.m.

Deputies say when the woman returned to her vehicle after service, she noticed that the passenger’s side front door glass had been broken and a bag had been removed from her floorboard.

According to sheriff’s deputies, they spoke with a second victim who stated that she arrived at the church around 11 a.m.

The report said the second victim stepped outside during the sermon around 11:30 a.m. and placed her purse inside her vehicle. When the woman returned to her vehicle after service, around 12:15 p.m., her purse and other items were missing.
